Low Voltage Cable Technician

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Far Out Solutions in Winter Park, FL is looking for one onsite tech to join our 74 person strong team. We are located on 931 South Semoran Blvd Suite 206. Our ideal candidate is self-driven, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • Wiring in residential and commercial buildings, Existing and new construction, Coax, Network, Speaker, Access control cable
  • Ability to terminate and test cables
  • Basic knowledge or willing to learn of IP cameras and NVR’s configuration, can get NVR online and add cameras
  • Basic Knowledge of Routers and switch setup, Can get a new router online with basic configuration with static IP.
  • Ability to Mount TV’s on wall, Centered and Level, where directed by customer
  • Cable management Racks, Patch panels, Behind TV’s
  • Must have excellent Customer service experience
  • Must have trouble shooting skills
  • Must be able to adapt and overcome issues onsite Flexible Schedule Monday through Friday. If job is not complete some weekends may be required
  • Willing to travel daily in Florida Willing to stay over night 50 to 75% of time

    Tier 2 Technician

    Far Out Solutions announce the primary role of a Tier 2 Technician is to supervise an array of technical projects related to the composition, maintenance, and support of Far Out Solutions. The Tier 2 technician provides the second level of backing to the end-users by handling service requests that have been escalated by lower tiers.
    Support will be catered onsite, remotely, over the phone or via email. They will be required to develop solutions for network, desktop, and server problems.
    The applicant will have the ability to evaluate existing systems and make proactive endorsements for improvements. Establish, cultivate, and carry out all systems, applications, and networking configurations. The position includes the reinforcement of various desktop, laptop, local, and network printers and other units.

    Responsibilities and Qualifications

  • 4+ years recent computer, server, and network troubleshooting experience
  • Excellent English skills both oral and written
  • Must be resourceful and able to take initiative in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently troubleshoot technical problems
  • Advanced knowledge of current Microsoft desktop and server operating systems
  • Advanced knowledge of Exchange, SharePoint, and other server applications
  • Advanced knowledge of computer and server hardware
  • Familiarity with network troubleshooting
  • Professional customer service skills

    Far Out Solutions in Winter Park, FL is looking for one shipping coordinator to join our 79 person strong team. We are located on 931 South Semoran Blvd Suite 206.

    We want someone who can verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments. Prepare items for shipment. Duties include assembling, addressing, and shipping merchandise or material, verifying and recording outgoing merchandise or material; and arranging for the transportation of products. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable.

    Department: Logistics: Full Time

    Reports To: Logistics Manager

    Work Schedule: Mon.-Fri., 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. Amount of Travel Required: Travel required for package drop offs and pickups from local carriers

    As a direct sales position, this role generates sales to further penetrate new business accounts.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities:

    Generates new sales for delivery of solutions. In partnership with the Business team, identifies sales opportunities.
